What
is a CNC Tool Cart?
CNC tool
carts keep your tools & other accessories safe, organized, & mobile. It
offers a variety of choices for the organization and storage of CNC tools.
There are 6 different models in CNC Tool Carts each cart has its own
specifications.
How
Does It Work?
CNC Tool cart comes up with 2 variants of inserts, one is lockable and the other is unlocking
able. Lockable inserts firmly hold the tool in one position which
prevents the Holders from Shaking while moving through rough surfaces. The
lockable tool storage trolleys have their unique features which make it the
fastest moving model in the industry. Unlockable inserts can also hold the
machine tools and these types of inserts are used for specific purposes. So,
according to your requirements, you can choose the best which suits your ideal
needs.
For our
specific CNC tool cart, we use (16 gauges Thickness, 1.6mm (0.063”)) to gain
High Strength & Durability.
Difference
between CAT 40 & BT40
As the
size of CAT40 and BT40 tool holder is totally different. But CAT40 and BT40
tool changer fingers are also very similar in appearance. Functionally there is
absolutely no advantage or disadvantage. They are equal good. The style and
thickness of the flange are different. BT40 tool holder flange part is thicker
than cat40 tool holders.
BT40
tool holder has a slightly shorter taper by about 4mm. This effectively reduces
the contact area in the spindle and means BT uses longer studs. So need two
different studs for CAT40 and BT40 tool holders. The difference between CAT and
BT is the flange style, thickness, and the thread for the pull stud is a
different size. BT Tool Holders use Metric thread pull studs. Though both
standards use the same NMTB body taper. BT tool holders are symmetrical around
the main spinning axis, while CAT tool holders are not. BT tool holders along
with CAT standards are among the most used in CNC machinery. They will accept
both imperial and metric-sized tools; however, CAT40
tools come in metric sizes. They are durable and are the best choice for
high-speed machinery.
